Niger State deputy governor, Yakubu Garba, has revealed that death toll from the recent flood disaster in Mokwa local government area has increased from 153 to 200.
He also disclosed that 1,000 residents of the three Mokwa communities affected by the flood are still missing, while over 3,000 others were displaced, and 2,000 houses destroyed.
Mr Garba gave the figures when he received the 2023 presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, at the Government House, Minna on Monday.
