With Senator Chris Ngige, a former governor and prominent figure in the state, facing accusations from the Basil Ejidike-led faction, the party’s unity is at stake, further complicating its prospects in the election.
The pressure on Governor Soludo to defect to the APC adds another layer of complexity to the political landscape in Anambra. The APC is keen on persuading Soludo to join their ranks and contest the election under their banner, believing that his defection would bolster their chances of victory.
