The Association of Women Medical Doctors in Zamfara has assured to provide free screening and treatment of 200 women with cervical cancer in the state.
This was disclosed on Thursday by the president of the Association of Women Medical Doctors, Zamfara, Dr Khadiza Mohammed Kanoma, to commemorate the cervical cancer awareness day in the state.
Dr. Khadiza Kanoma disclosed that each year, from the 1st to the 30 of January, it was set as a month for the cervical cancer awareness campaign.
