Julius Adamu, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, candidate for Bwari Area Council chairmanship in the FCT elections scheduled for February 21, has withdrawn from the race.
Mr Adamu stepped aside for the All Progressives Congress, APC, candidate, Joshua Musa, less than 72 hours before the poll.
He explained during an engagement in Abuja on Wednesday that his decision followed the intervention of the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike.
