Senator representing Borno South, Ali Ndume, has revealed how former Chief of Army Staff, Tukur Buratai, narrowly escaped death from Boko Haram attack.

Speaking during an interview on Channels TV, on Sunday, Mr Ndume said the convoy of Mr Buratai came under a heavy gunfire attack on Friday by the insurgents in Borno State.

According to Mr Ndume, the retired army general and his accompanying soldiers were ambushed near a frontline military base.
