Nigeria: Benue Assembly Speaker resigns — Africa Links 24

Speaker of Benue House of Assembly, Mr Hyacinth Dajoh, has resigned from his position.

The News Agency of Nigeria reports that Dajoh’s resignation letter was posted on his Facebook wall on Sunday.

The lawmaker indicated that his resignation as the speaker of the 10th assembly took effect from Aug. 24.

“This is done in faith and in the best interest of the state,” he said.
