President of the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, Joe Ajaero, has faulted the categorisation of electricity consumers into different bands by the Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu.
Mr Ajaero described the service-based tariff, which put electricity users in different bands, as “discriminatory and the highest level of 419”—a term used in referencing criminal activities.
The NLC president questioned the rationale behind placing some customers in Band A and others in lower bands.
