Heavily armed security personnel were noticed at strategic points on major roads in Osogbo and major towns in Osun on Monday.

The News Agency of Nigeria reports that there had been contention between the All Progressives Congress, APC, and Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, over the Court of Appeal judgment in respect of the sacked APC council chairmen and councillors.
