President Bola Tinubu has come under scrutiny as an APC chieftain, Obidike Chukwuebuka, voiced concerns about the performance of two ministers in his administration. In an exclusive interview with Legit.ng, Chukwuebuka highlighted the need for Tinubu to reshuffle his cabinet regularly to ensure effective governance.
Chukwuebuka specifically called out the Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu, and the Minister of Women Affairs, Uju Kennedy-Ohanenye, for their perceived incompetence in their roles. He recommended their immediate dismissal and emphasized the importance of consistent cabinet reshuffling to keep the administration on track.
According to Chukwuebuka, Tinubu’s ministers must live up to the expectations of the people and contribute meaningfully to the president’s renewed hope agenda. He criticized the underperformance of certain ministers and stressed the importance of weeding out incapable individuals from the cabinet.
In line with his recommendations, Chukwuebuka urged Tinubu to take action and ensure that only competent and committed individuals occupy ministerial positions in his administration. He highlighted the need for a proactive approach to governance and emphasized the significance of holding ministers accountable for their performance.
The call for regular cabinet reshuffling is rooted in the belief that it will enhance governance and improve the overall effectiveness of the administration. By periodically assessing ministers’ performance and making necessary changes, Tinubu can ensure that his government remains focused on delivering its promises to the Nigerian people.
In addition to addressing concerns about ministerial performance, Chukwuebuka also discussed Tinubu’s economic policies and initiatives. He applauded the president for removing the fuel subsidy and floating the country’s currency, describing these measures as steps in the right direction.
Chukwuebuka acknowledged the challenges inherited by Tinubu from the previous administration and highlighted the need to address them promptly. He expressed confidence in Tinubu’s ability to steer the country in the right direction and suggested that other political contenders, such as Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi, would not have implemented different economic policies if they were in power.
Overall, Chukwuebuka’s comments reflect a call for decisive leadership and proactive governance from President Bola Tinubu. By addressing issues of ministerial performance, implementing effective economic policies, and maintaining a focus on accountability, Tinubu can fulfill his promises to the Nigerian people and lead the country towards sustainable development and progress.
