Sadiq Tafida of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has emerged as the member-elect for the Jalingo/Yorro/Zing federal constituency in Taraba State. The 32-year-old Tafida, who is the son of the Emir of Muri, Alhaji Abbas Njiddah Tafida, scored a total of 19,681 votes in the rerun and supplementary polls held on Wednesday.
