As political parties intensify preparations for the 2027 elections, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has said it will not be pressured into inaugurating a presidential campaign council simply because other parties have already done so.
The party said it had the sole discretion to determine when and how to organise its campaign structure, insisting that it would not copy the approach adopted by other political parties.
