The Ugandan government is set to cut its heavy reliance on imported glue after commissioning a new adhesive factory in Sino-Mbale Industrial Park.
According to government officials, between June 2024 and May 2025, Uganda imported over 3,414 shipments of general glue, something they say will change with the opening of a US$10 million glue manufacturing factory, Yangtze Industry Limited, which has started producing glue and silicone.
