Listeners can tune in to the full episode on Friday, February 23rd at 9 AM London / 10 AM Lagos/Paris / 11 AM Johannesburg / 1 AM LA / 4 AM NYC on Apple Music 1 at apple.co/_AfricaNow or on YFM Accra, YFM Kumasi, and YFM Takoradi on Sundays and Saturdays at various times.

In an interview with Apple Music, Kelvin Momo talks about prioritizing albums and finding his creative lane. He shared, “I was willing to take the risk because of my sound. Then I dropped, and people were really happy. I’m like ok, everything is coming along!”

Kelvin Momo also explained the meaning behind his album, ‘Kurhula,’ saying, “The person who came up with the name was Babalwa M. She came up with the Amukelani name and Kurhula. I always struggle with names, and then she was like ‘you always find peace nowadays whenever you work on your album… now everything’s working out, you find peace in the music’.”

He further touched on the process of creating sounds that resonate with his audience, saying, “Whenever I make a song, I just don’t think about it like I’m doing it for me. It’s all about the person – how they’re gonna feel, their reaction, everything.”
