Minister of health and social services Kalumbi Shangula has revealed that the Zambezi region has recorded a total of 3 385 malaria cases with one death since January 2025.

He said this during the fifth commemoration of World Leprosy Day in Namibia at Kongola in the Zambezi region yesterday.

Shangula said malaria is ravaging the country, especially the Zambezi region.
