A Windhoek man has been sentenced to 10 months’ imprisonment after he was caught cutting and stealing copper cables at Suiderhof on 8 February.

Mondestus Joseph (31) was arrested and appeared in the Windhoek Magistrate’s Court on 10 February, where he pleaded guilty and was subsequently sentenced.

Windhoek City Police spokesperson Marcelline Murapo on Monday said Joseph was found cutting copper wire on Springbok Street at Suiderhof.
