Telecom Namibia chief executive Stanley Shanapinda says the company is aware of the leak of its customers’ data and is assessing the extent of the breach.
This comes after Hunters International Ransomware Group claims to have breached the telecommunications operator’s data.
The group reportedly gave the company until Friday to pay a ransom or risk the leak of 626.3 GB of data, comprising 492 633 files it claims to have extracted.
