Swapo spokesperson Hilma Nicanor has announced that the party will convene its extraordinary congress in April 2025.
She made these remarks at a press conference at the party’s headquarters in Windhoek on Thursday.
The party has not had a president since February following the death of Hage Geingob.
Five party members, through the Metcalf Lawyers, have challenged the party in court to hold an extraordinary congress before the national elections in November.
