Namibia: State House mum on founding president Nujoma’s health – Election 2024

State House continues to be quiet on the health of founding president Sam Nujoma, who is currently admitted to a private hospital in Windhoek.

Nujoma was said to be in a critical condition on Thursday after being in hospital for nearly a week.

When contacted for comment, presidential spokesperson Alfredo Hengari on Friday said: “No, I have no comment.”

The Namibian understands that high-ranking government officials were this week told Nujoma was in a critical condition.
