South African president Cyril Ramaphosa has dispatched his special envoy, Sydney Mufamadi, to neighbouring Mozambique.

Mufamadi met with the president of Mozambique, Filipe Nyusi, as part of an effort to resolve the political and security crisis.

The southern African country was plunged into chaos after a contested election a few months back.
