Namibia: President Mbumba mourns former trade unionist Alfred Angula – National

President Nangolo Mbumba says former trade unionist Alfred Angula will be remembered for his contribution towards workers’ rights.

Angula died at his home in Windhoek on Tuesday.

He served as secretary general of the Namibia Farm Workers Union and acting secretary general of the National Union of Namibian Workers.

Mbumba extended condolences to Angula’s family and said he had learned with sadness about the unionist’s death, whom he referred to as a “comrade”.
