Popular Democratic Movement (PDM) is planning on retrenching 16 employees as it struggles to stay afloat financially following its huge defeat in the 2024 presidential and National Assembly elections.

According to a leaked document dated 19 May and seen by The Namibian, PDM management, led by party secretary general Manuel Ngaringombe, informed staff representatives that the party’s current salary commitments amount to 60% of its income.
