The Namibian Police on Wednesday launched its festive season operation at the Onhuno traffic check point in the Ohangwena region.

Ohangwena regional commander commissioner Ottilie Kashuupulwa said the region has recorded 710 road crashes, 40 fatalities, 130 severe injuries and 188 slight injuries between 2023 and 2024. She was speaking during the launch of the operation on Wednesday.
