A total of 18 baby boys and girls were born at various district hospitals in the Otjozondjupa region on Christmas Day.

The acting health director for the Otjozondjupa region, Samuel Shilikomwenyo, told Nampa in an interview on Thursday 10 boys and eight girls were born at the four district hospitals at Otjiwarongo, Grootfontein, Okakarara and Okahandja.

“The Christmas babies in our region were born between 03h00 and 23h20 on Christmas Day,” said Shilikomwenyo.
