Namibia: Ondonga Traditional Authority postpones commemoration of Amutuni battle to 2026 – National

The Ondonga Traditional Authority has postponed the commemoration of the battle of Amutuni to next January.

The authority said the event, originally scheduled for 28 January, will now take place on 28 January 2026.

Angula Ndjembo, senior headman of the traditional authority and head of the delegation to the King Nehale Memorial Park at Namutoni in the Etosha National Park, said the postponement was necessitated by scheduling conflicts and insufficient time for preparations.
