governor Erginus Endjala says the region has recorded 407 new cases of malaria.
Speaking at the state of the region address at Outapi on Wednesday, Endjala says the cases were reported at Oshikuku and Outapi district hospitals.
“Forty-seven percent of the cases were local transmissions, mainly due to a lack of insecticide, while 53% were transmissions from our neighbouring country, Angola.’’
