Namibia: Okongo constituency councillor warns of malaria spike – National

Okongo constituency councillor Lebeus Shipindo has issued an urgent warning to residents following a surge in malaria cases in the Ohangwena region.

Shipindo on Tuesday revealed that over 2 000 malaria cases and four fatalities have been recorded in the region since late October last year.

“This situation is worrisome,” he said, before urging residents to remain vigilant and take immediate action if they experience symptoms of the disease.
