Former president Hifikepunye Pohamba said late founding president Sam Nujoma was seriously ill and unable to talk during their last interaction.

Pohamba said this in an interview with the Namibia Broadcasting Corporation (NBC) at Okanghudi village in the Ondobe constituency.

According to Pohamba, he visited Nujoma in the hospital in January this year when he was informed that the liberation struggle icon had been hospitalised.
