Namibians have once again been recognized by continental brand Scream Magazine for their 11th annual Scream Awards, an event highlighting and celebrating media personalities and creators across Africa. This year, local contenders include model Leena Shipwata for Screen Personality of the Year, DJ Kiki for DJ of the Year, Miss Namibia 2023 Jameela Uiras for Emerging Celebrity, model Tina Haimbala for the Positive Initiative Award, entrepreneur Zhahida Hoebes for Most Enterprising Female Youth, makeup artists Beauty By Carita and Fluffy’s Artistry for the Beauty and Personal Care Brand Award, and Celma Hamunyela’s Cina Hair for the Hair Brand Award.
Shipwata, at 28 years old, expressed her excitement at being recognized for her talent outside of the country.
