Namibia’s agriculture ministry has announced a 42% reduction in imports and exports of cloven-hoofed animals and their products from Germany due to a foot-and-mouth disease outbreak.
The Directorate of Veterinary Services has suspended imports of certain commodities, recalled previously issued permits and allowed certain commodities under a veterinary import permit, provided they meet recommendations as required by the World Organisation for Animal Health.
