Namibia Industrial Development Agency (Nida) employees on Wednesday went on strike to demand a 30% salary increase.
Most employees are paid between N$1 500 and N$3 000 per month.
The Nida employees, who are members of the Namibia Food and Allied Workers Union (Nafau), said they cannot survive on their current salaries.
Nafau general secretary Jacob Penda said the workers are demanding better working conditions, travel allowances and salary increments.
