President Nangolo Mbumba has urged members of parliament (MPs) to remain resilient and continue safeguarding the laws of the country.

“As I end my political journey, I want to urge you all to protect this parliament and our sovereign laws for the sake of all Namibians,” he said during his final speech on Tuesday.

Mbumba bid farewell to his acting term in parliament, which began after the death of president Hage Geingob in February 2024.
