Home favourite Enric Mas moved to the brink of Vuelta a Espana victory on Saturday as he finished the 20th and penultimate stage by extending his lead on Primoz Roglic in the overall standings.
Movistar’s Spanish rider Mas is set to win his first Grand Tour on Sunday when the race arrives in Granada in the final stage, a largely ceremonial procession, with the overwhelming favourite Tadej Pogacar crashing out in the eighth stage while leading overall.
