A man died in a fire that gutted down about two hundred structures near the Otweya location in the Kuisebmond area at Walvis Bay on Friday.
The fire started at around 18h30 at Gerson Munenguni street.
According to Erongo police spokesperson warrant officer Tuyenikelao Tashiya, it is alleged that the fire started in the middle of the location and spread rapidly to other structures, leaving many families homeless.
The deceased’s next of kin have not yet been informed.
