Police in the Kavango East region arrested a 48-year-old man last Friday for alleged possession of maize meal and cooking oil suspected to have been stolen from thr government’s drought relief programme.

Police crime investigations coordinator in the region deputy commissioner Bonifatius Kanyetu on Wednesday said the suspect was found while selling the 247 bags of maize meal (10kg each) and 47 bottles of cooking oil (750ml) at Shimpanda village.
