The Katima Mulilo Town Council’s registry office sustained severe damages following a fire incident on Thursday night.
It is reported that the blaze extensively damaged numerous documents pertaining to the town property.
Zambezi regional police crime investigations coordinator Albius Liomba confirmed the fire to The Namibian on Friday.
He said around 23h41, the security guards heard an explosion coming from the planning department and found that it was on fire.
