Julinho Athletic Football Club is mourning the death Grootfontein businessman and sport enthusiast Jaco van Dyk, who was said to be a supporter, and ‘generous’ sponsor of the club.
Van Dyk (52) died on Saturday at around 21h00 in an accident on the B8 road between Otavi and Grootfontein, about seven kilometers from Grootfontein.
The police say Van Dyk allegedly lost control of his vehicle and hit a bridge, causing the vehicle to overturn.
