The Independent Patriots for Change (IPC) says the late liberation struggle veteran Kanana Hishoono’s unwavering commitment and contributions helped pave the way for the independence Namibia enjoys today.

In a statement on Thursday, the IPC noted that its leadership is deeply saddened by the passing of the liberation struggle stalwart.

Hishoono died on Wednesday at the age of 89 at Ondangwa Private Hospital in the Oshana region.
