On the 3rd of August, 1941, to the 4th of February, 2024, we honor and remember the Esteemed Land of the Brave. To all the Distinguished Ones around the Globe, we mourn the passing of the Greatest Brave Warrior. The inevitable cracks of sorrow were felt far and wide, but his rhythm, beats, and distinctive phrase, “Omake! Omake!! Omake!!!” still linger in our midst.
Beloved President, your heroic affirmation, “I fought the greatest fight, I have finished the race, I remained faithful!” is our pillar, our consolation, our legacy. Dear Father, your loss is our boundless Sunshine. Your legacy of faith, hope, and love continues to inspire us.
In different languages and cultures, we sing songs of mourning and tribute. From Engee imburwa ndi mariku puire to Ki pina mani yelukona kumi opelela, the sounds of grief and remembrance echo across the world. Madam First Lady, let us join together in hymn, accepting our ordeal and finding peace in the words, “it is well with our souls.”
Rest in peace, our Pillar of Strength. Your presence and impact will forever be remembered and cherished.
