The Ohangwena region has recorded 270 cases of hunger and 18 deaths since January.

This was revealed by Ohangwena governor Sebastian Ndeitunga on Tuesday, during the handover of four classroom blocks to Ndadi Primary School by the Japanese embassy.

“We have a number of drought affected people in the region, and children are the most at risk of malnutrition,” said Ndeitunga.
