Residents and holidaymakers in the Kavango East region have taken to the Kavango River after temperatures rose to about 28°C on Monday.
With the heat returning, many people were seen gathering along the river to cool off.
Former Kavango East regional council chairperson Damian Maghambai has warned that swimming in the river is not recommended for safety reasons.
