The body of a community activist at Grootfontein was discovered inside his parked vehicle at the town on Monday evening.
Police head of community affairs in the Otjozondjupa region senior inspector Maureen Mbeha in an interview with Nampa on Tuesday said the deceased was identified as the 87-year-old Uwe Rathman.
“A suicide note was found placed next to his body,” Mbeha said.
