This board will be responsible for the governance of NamPower for the next four years.

It is essential to have a diverse and skilled board to oversee such a critical corporation. Each member brings a different set of expertise and experience to the table, ensuring a well-rounded approach to decision-making and governance. With backgrounds ranging from legal expertise to project management and executive leadership, the board is well-equipped to handle the challenges and opportunities that NamPower may face in the coming years.

The appointment of Martha Mbombo to the NamPower board is a testament to her leadership and expertise in the field of gender equality, poverty eradication, and social welfare. Mbombo’s reappointment signifies a vote of confidence in her abilities and her commitment to serving the public interest.

The importance of effective governance in public enterprises cannot be overstated. Boards play a crucial role in ensuring transparency, accountability, and good stewardship of resources. By appointing knowledgeable and experienced individuals to the board, the Ministry of Finance and Public Enterprises is taking proactive steps to promote good governance within NamPower.

As Namibia continues to strive for economic growth and development, the role of institutions like NamPower becomes increasingly important.
