The Africa-America Institute (AAI) has honoured former president Hage Geingob as a distinguished alumnus of the Southern African Student Programme.
The institute, in a recent statement, said Geingob’s journey from a young activist to a visionary statesman shows the transformative power of education and unwavering dedication to public service.
The AAI further said Geingob shaped the struggle against apartheid and the quest for Namibian independence.
