Four regions are temporarily without governors after James Uerikua, Salomon April, Marius Sheya and Sirkka Ausiku were sworn in as members of the eighth session of the National Assembly for the ruling party.

Namibia is in its transitional period, with a new administration set to take the reins on Friday and a new National Assembly to be formed.

The positions became vacant when these governors were sworn in as members of the National Assembly on Thursday morning.
