President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah on Monday appointed former ambassador Wilfried Emvula as chairperson of the National Governing Council (NGC) of the African Peer Review Mechanism (APRM) in Namibia.

The council will serve a term from 1 February this year to 31 January 2030.

The appointment of members of the council was announced at State House in Windhoek, where 10 members, including the chairperson, were inaugurated.
