The Environmental Investment Fund (EIF) has sponsored N$50 000 to address plastic waste in the country.
It also participated in a youth clean-up campaign organised by the Tukwatha Youth Organisation.
EIF chief executive Benedict Libanda reassures the fund’s commitment to supporting events of a similar nature, adding that litter is a serious environmental challenge.
Libanda says the EIF is working on a number of initiatives that will reduce plastic waste or pollution.
