Namibia: Councillors set to be sworn in on Friday – News

The swearing-in of regional council and local authority councillors is set to take place on Friday, with local or district magistrates officiating.

This was announced by Ministry of Urban and Rural Development executive director Wilhelmine Shivute on Wednesday.

“You are therefore required to make all the necessary arrangements,” she said.

This comes after Shivute on Friday last week cancelled the swearing-in of councillors that was scheduled for Wednesday.
