Namibia’s Chinese embassy has warned that any attempt to provoke China with large-scale arms sales to the Taiwan region will be met with a firm response and consequences.
This follows an announcement by the United States (US) of US$11 billion in arms sales to Taiwan, the largest weapons package approved for the self-governed island.
This marks the second arms sale to Taiwan under US president Donald Trump’s administration.
