A Charcoal producer (32) at Kalkfeld died after he was allegedly bitten by a snake in the bushes of farm Georg-Ferdinandshöhe on Thursday.
Police head of community affairs in the Otjozondjupa region senior inspector Maureen Mbeha on Saturday said the police were only informed of the incident on Friday.
The deceased was identified by close relatives as Abraham Kashihulu, she said.
