One of the two boys who drowned in the Okavango River early this month was buried on Friday.
Valentinus Mangundu (7) drowned at Mayara village in the Kavango East region on 3 August. He and Gotfred Kushonya (4) were accompanying their sister, Cecilia Mangundu, to wash clothes.
Village headman Moyo Nyambi this week told The Namibian the boys’ parents were working in their garden a few metres from the river at the time of the incident.
